What we can fix
Creases, water stains, fading, missing corners: that is the work, not a problem. We repair the damage in a photograph without changing the people, the period, or the detail already in it. Here is what we take on, shown on real before-and-after restorations, with an honest account of what a restoration cannot recover.
Old silver gelatin prints grow a metallic sheen as the silver rises to the surface, and damp leaves mould blooming across the image.
We clear the mirrored haze and the mould marks and bring the tones back, so a photograph reads as a photograph again.
The likeness is untouched. Same features, same expression, only without the damage.
Years of handling, sliding in and out of frames and albums, leave fine scratches and abrasions across the surface.

What we protect
